100% satisfied with my purchase.

Great mechanical keyboard

I just love the modularity of the keyboard, and it's finish, the fact that I can change switches is a plus, too. I went with cherry brown, but I have some blues on hand and will probably switch just some of the keys with them. The (machined?) aluminum finish is awesome and the metal itself makes the keyboard quite sturdy. Going back to modularity I use the keyboard both for work and gaming and use the mumpad while I work, but switch to the more compact tenkeyless design of the core when I game. Great product.

Everest Core makes a decent traveling keyboard. Switch replacment is now a joy!

I had no idea this recent Thanksgiving period there would be a discount promotion however due to costs I just ordered and awaited delivery of the Everest Core Keyboard. Took quite a while before the keyboard was delivered however the wait was worth it. I'm a huge fan of mechanical keyboards using Cherry switches however even Cherry switches fail for one reason or another. I was tired purchasing both Das and Corsair due to key failure and eventually accumulated 3 failed keyboards all for the very same reason. YouTube videos showed keyboard repairs but the effort of disassembling then unsoldering was a huge undertaking making it not worth the effort. When Anandtech finally reviewed Mountain Everest Keyboards, I was sold. Just the fact that it takes less than a minutes to swap out a failed switch was worth a initial purchase. I went with the Everest Core and now after putting the keyboard through it's paces I'm now in the market for a Everest Max but will wait until Mountain has another promotion which is impossible to refuse. Currently there is a mini promotion however the bargain hunter in me says it will get more enticing when Christmas comes. In the interim I'm enjoying the Everest Core Keyboard as it is a sheer joy to use.

Lighting Customization

Hey there,

I like the keyboard, also that I have the choice for an upgrade unlike other brands. It's the first time having a TKL-Keyboard and wanted to try it out but also get the option to upgrade it.

The keyboard is a bit smaller over all in comparison to other ones I had before, which is a bit strange at the beginning but I got used to it pretty fast.

The sensitivity of the keys are really great (Silver). I am missing the clicky sound, but for for the longer life time its okaii. When you wear headphones it doesnt matter anyways.

My only lack I felt was the customization of the RGB lights in the "Base Camp" programm. I would like to have more options in it, for example make your own gradient with more than only 2 colors (as many as u like).
And make reactions for example if you use your color scheme and click one key, it changes the key and the row with a wave pattern to a color you could set for yourself.
Just to have more customizable options to make it YOUR own keyboard.
