Great Hardware, Embarrassingly Bad Software (BaseCamp)

I love Mountain's hardware... I absolutely despise the software. Multiple profiles is an issue. If you assign one of your display keys as "switch profile" it will glitch out. Icons turn into a glitchy, unrecognizable mess and break functionality UNLESS Basecamp is running in the background. So, even though it's saved to the hardware it's... not.

I really love the idea, and it's useful for macros with work and shortcuts with my personal profile, but when the software is so weak it breaks the base functionality by using one of its functions, something is horrible wrong on the software development side.

Same idea with the display dial. Poor software keeps people from any real customization. I think I speak for everybody when they say they would love to have the clock (or whatever else they want, like a picture) as their "screen saver" and when turning the dial simply control volume. Not the "click button twice, twist, select volume, double click, turn up volume, leave it.... realize it's too loud, and then click button twice, twist, select volume, double click, rinse, repeat, etc...."

The RGB implementation is weak for the keyboard as well. No SignalRGB or any other compatible apps, just Razer Chroma that presents the keyboard as one giant block with no customization and often just doesn't work. The lighting of the keyboard itself is a hardware issue. Light bleed in RGB from angles, very dim, not too customizable with the poor software. No real customization, no layers, nothin'.

Basecamp is the crutch to an otherwise great series of hardware, and it's SO bad I sometimes wish I'd gone with a different keyboard. However, this setup is one of a kind. The display pad and keyboard itself is fantastic (the Dial is pointless with the current software implementation, though). The DisplayPad is another amazing idea ruined by the horrible software.

I sincerely hope Mountain figures something out on the software end in the future. I would LOVE to keep buying these great pieces of hardware. However, I just can't say enough about how terrible BaseCamp and RGB implementation is. I believe I can rant all day about BaseCamp and... well... turns out I am at this point.

Software problem

The hardware is good but the software is the problem. The software is not working with the AVG anti virus software. I've tried and tried but my displaypad is out of use on the moment, waiting for a good software version.

Shipping disappointed

Shipping was too late.

Courier lied 2 times that they came to delivered.

Package was destroyed by water and hits.

Display is amazing though.
